The Christian Church is a representative democracy. Each local congregation governs itself and cooperates in Area, Regional, and General functions of the Church through representative management, prayerful concern, and financial support. In this local congregation, we govern ourselves by the guidelines set forth in our Church Constitution. Each member is equal in authority and responsibility with each other member. The final authority in all matters pertaining to congregational affairs is vested in the congregation itself.
The congregation decides all matters either by direct vote or by delegated authority and responsibility. This delegated authority and responsibility is specifically set forth in the Church Constitution.
At least one Congregational Meeting is held each year. At the Annual Congregational Meeting, elders, deacons, trustees, and a treasurer are elected, and the proposed budget for the following year is submitted and voted upon. Special meetings of the congregation may be called as needed.
