Children's Church
Following the Children's Sermon during the 10:30 worship service, children through 2nd grade are invited to retreat to the education wing (Room #107) to enjoy a special time of worship all their own. It is led by volunteers on a rotating basis and coordinated by Tracy Cape. Children's Church will include Bible-based activities, prayer, a snack and learning experiences focusing on the meaning and importance of worship.
3rd and 4th Grade Worship Class
This 6 week course, coordinated by Sandra Ellison, helps our youngest church goers learn all about the Disciples of Christ church and the significance of our services from church elders. These youngsters will join our services after the six-week course concludes.

Sunday School Line-up 2007 - 2008
The countdown is on! Several new Sunday School classes have been created to fulfill a growing congregational desire for a wider variety of Christian education for all ages. The following classes will be offered beginning September 2nd!
Room: Nursery Leader: Nursery Staff Study: Our nursery is being updated for our youngest Christians. Come see! Our nursery is open for both services and Sunday School. Nursery care is available for most church events...call the church office to verify.
Little Lambs (12 month - 2 years):
Room: Toddler Room Leader: Nursery Staff Study: Our wonderful nursery staff leads our Little Lambs with the Toddlers and Twos curriculum which incorporates 5 center-based hands-on lessons each week. Held in the updated toddler room adjacent to the nursery.
Amazing Angels (Pre-K 3 - 5 years):
Room: #105 Leader: Mrs. Kerry Rash Study: Weekly lessons following our brand new curriculum Seasons of the Spirit, a hands-on curriculum based upon the weekly lectionary readings.
Shining Stars (Kindergarten - 2nd grade)
Room: #109 Leader: Mrs. Mary Braun Study: Weekly lessons following our brand new curriculum Seasons of the Spirit, a hands-on curriculum based upon the weekly lectionary readings.
Faithful Followers (3rd - 5th grades): Room 105.
Room: #108 Leader: Mrs. Maggie Mossler Study: There is fun to be had and learning to do with the Seasons of the Spirit, a hands-on curriculum based upon the weekly lectionary readings.
Youth Sunday School Department
(grades 6th through 12th)
The following classes for Youth will be from Seasons of the Spirit, a hands-on curriculum based upon the weekly lectionary readings:
Jr. High Class (6th - 8th grades):
Room: #112 - Chi Rho Room Leader: Mrs. Cindy Casparis Study: They will study the weekly lectionary with the help of the church wide curriculum, Seasons of the Spirit.
High School Class (9th - 12th grades):
Room: #113 - CYF Room Leader: Mrs. Denise Ralph Study: They too are using the Augsburg Seasons of the Spirit curriculum. All high school students are encouraged to attend.
Adult Sunday School Department
Please feel free to attend the class that is the most interesting to you.
The following classes will be offered for adults. The first three classes are new, the last two classes are currently offered:
College or Young Adult Class: Room 110.
Meets 7:00 PM on Wednesday evenings Room: #106 Leader: Mrs. KaraKay Kovaly Study: Topics and studies that will interest our young adults.
BYOB (Bring Your Own Bible) (Adult):
Room: #104 Leader: Ms. Gayle Morris - Coordinator Study: This is a "rotating" class. The subject and the teacher will change every 4-6 weeks. Looking for a topical class or a Christian book study? -- Then this is the class for you. Do not be intimidated to start this class in mid-stream. Come when you can...you won't want to leave! Topics and teachers will be posted around the church and in our church newsletter, First News.
SOS (Save Our Souls) - Lectionary Class (Adult):
Room: #110 Leader: Rev. David Green Study: For a more in-depth study into his weekly sermons come study with our Senior Minister. He is doing the best he can to save all of our souls!
Partnership (Adult Women):
Room: Parlor Leader: Mrs. Linda Vetters Study: "Comprehensive Bible Study Quarterly for Adults" is used as the study guide.
Sojourners (Adult):
Room: Adult Conference Room Leader: Mr. J.D. Elshoff & Jim Davis Study: Ask any of their members and they'll tell you...if you've got answers, they've got questions!
