Camp Gonzo Work Day
8:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Come join your friends from the Area as we work at our
campgrounds in Gonzales on Saturday, February 24, 2018. We will start at 8:00 a.m. and work until around 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
We will be clearing brush, trimming hedges, painting, and or-
ganizing storage areas. So grab your weed eaters, chainsaws,
gloves, tree cutters, and hedge clippers and come on out!
If you need to spend the night Friday or Saturday at camp you
can also do that for free in the Dorms as we have a group in the
Lodge. There are some good restaurants in town you can check
out for dinner and breakfast. You can pay for the breakfast we
are providing for the group in the Lodge.
Contact Rev. Scott Miller at (830) 437-2900 or
disciple-oaks@gmail.com and let him know you are coming.

Adult Classes for Aug - Dec 2016

Connecting... Caring... Sharing... Growing...

is what the 2016 - 17 Adult Education at FCC is all about.

Beginning August 28 — November 20  you can enjoy all these things by joining one of the following classes:

--> Sovereignty of God: studies in Isaiah, Hebrews and Revelation                                           with Linda Vetters,  Parlor

--> Discovering the Bible     with Wayman and Louise Mullins, Fellowship Hall

And in October two new classes are beginning:

October 2 — November 20:

--> Weekly Reflections     with Perry "A", Conference Room

--> The God We Can Know: the "I am's" of Jesus in the Gospel of John

                                                       with Gael Thompson, Room 110

(Registration forms for these new classes are available in the Narthex on the “Sunflower” table or in the adult classes.)

November 27 — December 18:

This is the season of Advent as we prepare our hearts in celebration of Christ’s coming now. All adults, college, and high school students will join together for this 4 week study of Advent’s themes: Hope, Love, Joy, Peace. Each week we will have a different study leader and share together in small groups as well.

I hope you will commit to a class and find meaningful connection, receive and give gracious care, share your gifts and insights, and grow in your faith and relationship with God. Thank you for your enthusiastic response thus far and I believe God will bless the body of Christ as we unite around the Word.

Blessings, Gael Thompson, Adult Education Coordinator
