WEEK of September 27

Message for this coming Sunday,

September 29,

"Church; A Cause, A Community, A Corporation

(Do we have those words in the correct order?)"

We are still in the season of Pentecost celebrating the church of Jesus Christ which is God’s gift to us for the sake of the cause of Christ in the world and our life as one of his beloved communities.

!!!Trunk and Treat!!!

at Mendez Elementary:

Our church will be participating with other churches to provide a fun filled afternoon for the students at Mendez Elementary (our kids are also welcome to attend) on Sunday, Oct. 27, 3-6 p.m.

Set up and decorating trunks is 3-4 p.m., games from 4-5 p.m., costume parade at 5 p.m. and then trick or treating at the various vehicle trunks. Here is how you can help:

  • Donate candy for the game prizes (no chocolate please)

The collection station will be in the foyer October 13-27.

  • We need to borrow 5 pop up canopies to provide shade for our game workers.
  • We need 5 more trunks with candy for trick or treating.

If you would like to loan us your canopy or provide a trunk,

contact Shawn Colson (512-757-2521)

or Gael Thompson (832-858-0932).
