Pentecost Baptism and Confirmation Celebration
Sunday, May 19th @ 10 AM
We have an FCC tradition of offering baptisms in the Spring. This year we are planning a Baptism and Confirmation Service on Pentecost Sunday.
There is no perfect age for baptism, nor is there a perfect method. Our denomination prefers baptism by immersion with the understanding that the decision for baptism is personal for candidates of all ages. While there is no perfect age for baptism, our tradition has been approximately twelve years old to consider whether they are ready to take this important step in their faith journey. At the same time, we recognize other traditions and practices, and for those who have received baptism as infants we encourage confirmation for anyone old enough to make their own faith decisions.
Come celebrate Pentecost Sunday with us as we share the experience of confirmations and baptisms!
