Thank you for wanting to assist us with our 2025 VBS!
This page is for volunteers that are ADULTS.
If you are under 18 please go back to the VBS event and click on the Volunteer Teen Leader button.
There are 4 STEPS BELOW that must be completed before we can consider you as a volunteer.
It seems like a lot, but its for our VBS kids!
You can come back and do each step at a separate time, they do not have to all be completed at once. Complete them at your convivence.
We would love to allow everyone to volunteer, however, please know that there is a chance we won’t be able to accept everyone.
We appreciate you wanting to join us for a week of praise, fun and “TRUSTING JESUS IN A WILD WORLD” at TRUE NORTH VBS 2025.
So scroll down this page to GET STARTED!! 👇

SAFE CONDUCT
Let’s keep our kids safe!
First Christian Church San Marcos has a strong commitment to safety when it comes to children in our care. We want to praise and encourage VBS kids. We do not tolerate bullying, neglect or any misconduct with a child. If ever you see or suspect any unacceptable behavior, notify one of our VBS leaders immediately.
Our VBS leaders are:
Nikki Sutphen, Mattie Howard, Barrie Breed,
Marla Johnson, Richard Trammell
Adult Volunteers must read our Safe Conduct Policy. Yes, it’s long but important. We want to keep or kids safe. You must agree to the Safe Conduct Policy before we can consider you as a volunteer. You can agree virtually by clicking I have read and agree to it. You will have the option to download it also if you would like a copy or if you would just like to read it at your leisure and come back here later to agree.
To read it now online click Read our Safe Conduct Policy
To download it and save it to your computer for you to review at a later time, click Save a Copy of our Policy.
BACKGROUND CHECK
In order to ensure that our team of volunteers can work with children, we are required to conduct a background check. It is prudent, but also invasive. We want you to know that we hold all the information that we receive in a background check extremely confidential and we restrict access to the information under lock and key.
Choose one of the following Two Ways to provide a background check.
1️⃣If you have had a background check done WITHIN THE LAST 2 YEARS, you are set to go! You can upload it or hand deliver it. To upload, click on “ Give Us Your Forms and Info” on the button below. That’s a safe and confidential upload. We prefer that you do NOT email it to us. Email is NOT confidential. If you prefer to NOT upload it, just bring it by the FCC Church Office in a sealed envelope with Volunteer Background written on it. All information contained in the background check will be kept confidential and locked.
2️⃣ If you have not had a background check in the past 2 years, and wish for us to complete one for you, follow these 3 steps.
All of the information contained in the background check application and the results will be kept confidential and locked.
Thank you so much for your compliance with our background check requirement.
Webinars
Possible webinars are still under consideration.
